Nomination Statement

I would like to introduce Charles McCollum, Candidate for General Grand Treasurer.

Chuck’s dedication to our craft is demonstrated by his willingness to serve in leadership and administrative position both at the local level and in the Grand Bodies. In fact, he has served as presiding officer for 21 of his 36 years as a Mason, including as Grand High Priest, Most Illustrious Grand Master and Grand Commander.

He currently serves as Treasurer of six local York Rite bodies, his York Rite College, his KYCH Priory, his Scottish Rite Valley, and his Grand Chapter and Grand Council. All of this is to point out that he understands the duties and responsibilities that accompany his election as our General Grand Treasurer.

Chuck’s enthusiasm and zeal for Masonry, combined with his focus on fiduciary responsibility make him an ideal candidate to serve as your next General Grand Treasurer. Therefore, I present Charles McCollum for election as General Grand Treasurer of the General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons, International.

Introduction Letter

Companions,

My name is Chuck McCollum and I am a candidate for the office of General Grand Treasurer.

As I have served the General Grand Council as Northeast Regional Deputy General Grand Master over the past 5 years, I have been so impressed with the continued effort of our leadership to encourage and promote the Cryptic Rite. The work of these dedicated men has prompted me to announce my candidacy.

One of the most important responsibilities of the General Grand Council is to safeguard the funds entrusted to it and to use them wisely. I am currently serving as Treasurer of several local York Rite bodies, my Grand Chapter and Grand Council and my Scottish Rite Valley. I am fully aware of the high trust reposed in the Companion elected to serve as Treasurer, and pledge to you my absolute best to live up to that trust.

It is my hope that with your support, and your vote, at the Triennial Session in September I can continue to work to move the General Grand Council forward and to accomplish great and wonderful things for Cryptic Masonry around the world.

Fraternally yours,

Chuck McCollum
